It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Callahan Merryman of Spotsylvania, Virginia, who passed away on March 22, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mack Clarence Gallahan and Beatrice Mary Brown Gallahan; her husband Floyd Henry Merryman; and her siblings, Leroy Gallahan, Boyd Ashton Gallahan, Ray Gallahan, Nora Virginia Clark and Hilda Brooks.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Anne M. Self (Donnie) of Madison, Floyd Henry Merryman, Jr. (Kerri) of Culpeper, Paul Lee Merryman (Karen) of Amherst, Allen Wayne Merryman (Sharon) of Madison, David Nelson Merryman (Loretta) of Madison and Ricky Felton Merryman (Lisa) of Spotsylvania; and her siblings, Roger Gallahan of Louisa, Barbara Gallahan of Cartersville, Katty Lloyd of Louisa and Allie Lena Simmons of Nashville. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
