He was predeceased by: his sister Nancy C. Mcsweeney; and his parents, Paul O. Upshaw MD and Ruth E. Day. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sue Gabbert; his daughters, Paula C. Franken of Lewisburg, PA and Mary E. Walton of Spotsylvania; and his grandchildren, Bryce Harrison, Aidan Harrison, Abigail Walton and Catherine Walton.
