He was predeceased by: his wife Betty C. Bustamante; his parents, Manuel Bustamante and Petra Bustamante; and his siblings, Carlota Salcido, Manuela Montoya, Isabel Barragan, Maria Salcido, Ernesto Salcido and Jose Salcido.
He is survived by: his children, Rose Kelly (Todd), Paz Bustamante, Jr. (Faith) and Rhonda Byrd (Joel, SR); and his grandchildren, Eriq Bustamante, Tiffany Kelly, Corey Bustamante, Bryan Kelly, Manae Bustamante, Amber Kelly, Deja Jones, Joel Byrd, Jr., Julian Bustamante, Tahn Bustamante, Tiffany Battle and Emmanuel Stanley. He is also survived by eighteen great- grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
