He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Watson Sr. and Helen Whetzel; his wife Mary Watson; his daughter Melissa Dodson; his grandchildren, Kennith Rowe, Jr., Blake Carter and Kortney Tierra Dodson; and his siblings, Larry Watson, Bertha Mueller, Robert "Willie" Watson, Dennis Watson and Barbara Dudley.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sandra Lockard (Matt) and Shannon Owens; his sister Wanda "Susie" Smith; and his grandchildren, Michael Lockard, Woodrow Carter and Mia Carter. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
