She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Sprow and Vernell Banks Sprow; her husband Elmore Brooks; and her son Keith E. Brooks. She is survived by: her children, Cornelius L. Brooks (Ann) of Washington, D. C., Franklin L. Brooks (Cheryl) of Denver, CO, Phillip E. Brooks (Sonya) of Spotsylvania and Pamela D. Robinson of Spotsylvania; her brother Rev. Reginald J. Banks (Helen) of Hampton; and her siblings-in-law, James Brooks (Lillian) of Spotsylvania, Alphonso Brooks of Spotsylvania and Mary Lindsey of Spotsylvania. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special lifelong friends.
