She was predeceased by: her parents, Alpha Lnora Palmer Tate and Elbert "Mike" Lewis Tate; her husband Raymond D. Thacker; her daughter Barbara L. Thacker; and her siblings, Lewis R. Tate, Roy F. Tate and Pearl T. Jacobs.
She is survived by: her daughter Diane Thacker Heflin (Maurice); her grandson Kirk M. Heflin (Autumn); and her great grandchildren, Sarah K. Heflin of Spotsylvania and Elizabeth C. Heflin of Spotsylvania. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
