He was predeceased by: his parents, John Baylor and Lois Drucilla Morefield Hockaday; and his grandson Spencer. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Lacy Hockaday; his sons, Vernon "Butch" Hockaday (Connie), John "Dan" Hockaday (Donna), Amos Hockaday and Shawn Hockaday (Dana); and his grandchildren, Cassie, Mitchell, Hannah, Hunter and Hugh.
