He was predeceased by: his wife Ellen P. Brooks; his daughter Judith "Judy" Haynes; and his great grandchild Jeffrey Gibson. He is survived by: his children, Lamont Brooks (Kathy), Wanda Stephens (Donnie) and Sandra Duval (George); and his grandchildren, Shane Brooks, Elijah Brooks, Wendy Eller, Christopher Chase, Amy Powell, Margaret Nestor and Mark Haynes. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
