He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Javins; his daughter Carolyn Shepherd and her children, April Cox and Scott Pearson and her husband Kent; his son Granderson Javins, Jr. and his wife Linda and their two children, Kathy Lillard and Kelly Javins; and Gina Vallette and her two children, Nikolai and Natalia Vallette; 5 great-grandchildren; and 2 nieces and 1 nephew. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mabel Javins; his sister, Lola Devers; and two sons-in-law, Michael Pearson and Cary Vallette; two nephews, Gary and Harold Devers; one niece, Loretta Mitchell.
