He was predeceased by: his parents, Madie Ball Hurd and Charlie; his siblings, Charles, Ernest and Anna Moore; and his stepdaughter Vicky Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Norma H. Ball; his children, Dale Ball (Bonnie), Deborah Brubaker (Paul) and Laurie Winpigler (Billy); and his stepchildren, Connie Wilson (James) and James Dent of Spotsylvania. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
