He was predeceased by: his parents, Paris Waddell and Irene Waddell. He is survived by: his children, Gary M. Waddell (Amy), Janet Waddell and Amy Rowe (Scott); his grandchildren, Logan Rowe, Cooper Rowe, Luke Rowe, Cole Rowe, Katelyn Waddell, Emma Waddell, Landon Waddell, Skyla Greene, Elijah Spain, Hunter Spain, Kinsley Spain and Molly Spain; his great grandchildren, Addison Greene, Azura Leopaul and Layla Curtis; and his siblings, Judy Adkins, Wayne Waddell and Doris Oxendine.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Research Institute.
