It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Deale Brooks of Spotsylvania, Virginia, who passed away on December 29, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Douglas Deale and Ella Mae Deale (Sorrell); her husband Garnie Carlton Brooks; and her siblings, Mary Catlett, Arlene Curtis, Helen Brooks, Ruby Lee Hall, Elnor Dodd, Robert Deale and Delmas Deale.
She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Dickinson (Robert) of Spotsylvania, Michael Brooks (late Sherry) of Caroline, Kenneth Brooks (Laurie) of Spotsylvania and Tony Brooks (Lynn) of Spotsylvania; her sister Inez Perry of Spotsylvania; and her grandchildren, Ryan Dickinson, Richey Dickinson, Angel Brooks, Nicole Brooks, Christopher Brooks, Tandi Brooks and Justine Merryman. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery (6431 Courthouse Rd, Spotsylvania Courthouse, VA 22551).
