It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Singhas Yates of Spotsylvania, Virginia, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on April 9, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles F. Yates and W. Ruth Singhas; his children, Lee and Jeff; and his sisters, Charlene Watkins and Mary Jean Yates Rowe.
He is survived by: his grandson Stuart Lee; his wife Jacqueline S. Yates (Stratton); his daughter Deborah Paxton; his daughter-in-law Elizabeth Yates; his stepson Nader Yousefian (Mary Ellen); and his great grandchildren, Kristie Tucker (Jeffrey), Michael Paxton, Chad Paxton (Jenifer), Tiffany Kimberlin (David), Hannah Yousefian, Elliot Yousefian (Laura), Braden Yates, Sarah Absher (Matthew), Elijah, Mattie, Aubrey, Tanner, Little Charlie, Clara and Launi-Rae. He is also survived by extended family and close friends.
