With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Avon Marie Elswick Keen of Spotsylvania, Virginia, who passed away on November 6, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandson Michael Thomas Burleson; her brothers, Hubert, Paul and Roscoe Jr.; and her parents, Roscoe Sr. and Goldie Mullins Elswick.
She is survived by: her husband Vernie B. Keen; her siblings, Emogene Taylor, Glenda Hughes (Darrell) and Danny Elswick (Darlene); her children, Rebecca Burleson (Scott) and David Keen (Cindy); her grandchildren, Joe and Dyllon; her daughter Rachel Keen; her grandchildren, Camdyn, Avaclaire and Angela (David); her great grandchildren, Emma and Sebastian; her granddaughter Leah Taylor (Chad); and her great grandchild Noah. She is also survived by Her children and grandchildren.
