Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Audrey Harthausen (Spotsylvania, Virginia), born in Baltimore, Maryland, who passed away at the age of 94, on January 12, 2021. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Baldwin and Margaret Baldwin; her brothers, Melvin Baldwin and Frank Baldwin; and her husbands, William T. Smelter and Albert Harthausen.
She is survived by: her sons, Thom Smelter (Tricia) of Spotsylvania and John M. Smelter of Lewes, Delaware; her grandchildren, Deanna Cox (Walter) of Spotsylvania, Brian Smelter (Beth) of Spotsylvania, Suzanne Davis (Ted) of Spotsylvania, Craig Smelter (Mirna) of Herndon, Melissa Primus (Brian) of Bel Air and Christopher Smelter of Maryland; her great grandchildren, Austin, Alyssa Cox, Ian, Kimberly Smelter, Brendan Purnell, Jacob Davis, Logan, Owen Smelter, Matthew and Kaitlyn Primus; her siblings, Wilbur Baldwin of Baltimore, Irene Hannigan of Pasadena and Margaret Messenger of Quinton; and her close friend Brian Pugh of Chancellor's Village.
Due to COVID restrictions, a private viewing will be held followed by a committal service at Christ Episcopal Church Columbarium, Spotsylvania Courthouse.
