He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Ann Kirtley; and his son Aubrey Kirtley, Jr.. He is survived by: his sons, James G. Kirtley, Sr. (Joy Privigyi) and Rodney Kirtley, Sr. (Brenda Kirtley). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one brother.
