He was predeceased by: his parents, V. S. "Buddy" Hylton and Helen Moore Hylton; his wife Helen Griffin Hylton; his daughter-in-law Peggy Hylton; and his siblings, Margaret Clark, Doris Fowlkes, Staples Hylton and Dallas Hylton.
He is survived by: his children, Patricia Hylton, Royce Hylton, Jr. (Mary), Barry Hylton and David Hylton (Amy); his sisters, Kathleen Pigg (J. E.) and Joye Nelson; and his sister-in-law Brenda Hylton. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Due to Covid-19 circumstances, the family requests no visitors at their home and a face covering is required as well as social distancing to be observed at the funeral and visitation.
