She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Hunt Lakey and Willard Woodrow Lakey; her husband Arlen Calvin Hampton; her son Kenneth Wayne Hampton; and her grandson Logan Wayne Sessoms.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Paige Hampton Sessoms (James), William "Bart" Bartley Hampton (Susan) and Michael Scott Hampton (Tammy); her brother Donald Lakey (Doris); her grandchildren, Brittany Wingate (Dustin), Taylor Hampton, Jessica Cumbo (Jay) and Lexis Hampton; and her great grandchildren, Dallas Kate Wingate and Layne Riley Cumbo.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Service Chapel (1425 Greensboro Rd, Martinsville, VA 24112).
