He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Ell Maxey and Mildred Brim Maxey; his sister Mary Ann Maxey; and his grandson Samuel Morrison. He is survived by: his wife Jean Stone Maxey; his children, Cynthia Maxey Morrison (Peter) and Robert Wayne Maxey (Tara); and his grandchildren, Alex Morrison, Max Morrison, Amelia Maxey and Stone Maxey.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stella Christian Church (1535 Stella Rd, Patrick Springs, VA 24133). A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
