He was predeceased by: his siblings, Vera Wade, Nellie Mae Harrison, Elizabeth Moore, Myrtle Miles, Richard Miles, Jack Miles and Carl Miles.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Jackson Miles; his daughters, Karen Sue Miles of Winston-Salem, N. C., Mary Cline (Brad) of Ridgeway and Kathryn "Kitty" Watkins (Robbie) of Spencer; his sister Kitty M. Horsley; his grandson Daniel Jackson Watkins (Loren); and his great grandchild Paisley Dawn Watkins. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
