It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Preston Oliver Jones of South, Virginia, born in Dinwiddie, Virginia, who passed away on February 18, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn Wallace Jones and Troy Jones; and his siblings, Sadie Lou Parham, Harry and Freddie Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Gertrude Walker Jones; his children, Tony Jones (Damaris), Iris Mays (Clarence) and Patricia Goode (Kem); his siblings, Marion Ampy (Charles) and Leroy Jones (Phyllis); his sisters-in-law, Maxine Jones, Roxie Jones, Patricia Walker, Vera Walker and Ellen Walker; his grandchildren, Kiana Boswell (Devon), Viron Jones, Lavonte Gonzales, Jasmine Mays, Kendrick Goode and Brandon Goode; and his great grandchildren, Amaya, Kassidy, Jamari Boswell and Janaya Mays. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
