He is survived by: his children, Charles L. Mason, Sr. (Theresa) of Chesterfield, Rose Elizabeth Mason-Holland of Chesterfield, James Allen Mason, Sr. (Margaret) of Chesterfield and Evelyn Mason Eldridge (Arthur) of Macon, Georgia; his grandchildren, Charles L. Mason, Jr. (Nacole), James A. Mason, Jr. (Aisha), Shajuan N. Mason, Tiffany Mason Mosby (Lonny), Dawn Mason Brown (Mark), J. W. Holland III (Kristin) and Rashad G. Eldridge (Christina); his siblings, Shirley Mason Cox, Bernard Ellis (Gwen) and Claude Ellis; his uncle Perry Briggs; his goddaughter Demetria Dugger; his siblings-in-law, James A. Vaughan, Jr. (Josephine), Enoch Nottingham, Shirley V. Barksdale (William) and Sheila V. Harris; his friends, Ruth Jefferson, Rev. Rayaltor Powell, Randy and Charry Brown; and his grandchild Chrysler. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Due to COVID-19 a private graveside service for the immediate family only will be held at a later date.
