With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Eleanor L. Young of South, Virginia, born in Charleston, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 2, 2024 at the age of 63. As we bid Eleanor farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Eleanor is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her mother Joan Thompson; and her grandparents, Gentry, Elnora Thompson, Lionel and Helen Washington.
She is survived by: her father Howard Thompson of Dunbar, WV; her daughters, Erica Reynolds (Dennis) of Charleston, WV and Nicole Young (Curtis) of Charlotte, NC.; her grandchildren, Avyon, Camiyah, Devyn, CeAndre and Cole; and her sister Lydia Thompson (Marcel) of Graham, NC. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends.
