She was predeceased by: her parents, Jenner Whitby and Ida Clary Whitby (Edward G. Long, Sr.); and her sisters, Doma Allison and Annie Clary. She is survived by: her son Edward G. Long, Jr. (Kelly) of Grandy, NC; her grandchildren, Lyndsey Ball (John) of Lafayette, LA and Andrew Long (Katie) of Danville, VA; and also Linda Singleton. She is also survived by two nephews, two nieces.

Memorials may be made to the church at 3717 Triplet Road, Lawrenceville, VA 23868.
