He is survived by: his wife Lois Hottle Reed; his children, Lieutenant Colonel Michael Wyatt (Ret) and Melissa Lynn Reed (Michael Compton) of Richmond, VA; his grandchildren, William Reed (Wake), Corporal Christopher Reed (Fort), Abigail Hall (Jonathan) of Richmond, VA and Adam Compton of Dubois, WY; and his sisters, Shirley Witt (Roanoke), Rachel Ayers (Buchanan), Jean Shell (Roanoke) and Juanita Whorley (Roanoke).
In lieu of flowers the family also requests donations be made to any Alzheimer's Research Organization.
