He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Thompson and Rena Smith Thompson; his wife Ethel Thompson; and his siblings, Charlie Nelson, Wilbert Lee, James Albert Thompson, Malta Earl Thompson, Rosa Mae Thompson, Ruth Carol Willis and Ella Jane Ross.
He is survived by: his daughter Dianne Thompson; his granddaughter Brianna Thompson; his great grandchild Carter Edward Samuels; his sisters, Minnie Thompson, Eunice Logan and Deloris Langhorne (Milton); his aunt Gladys Smith; his nephew Darren Thompson (Joel); his siblings-in-law, Joshua Willis and Debbie Thompson; and his friends, Wilroy Pretlow (Carolyn) and Pete Harrison (Gale). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Hill Rzua Church (4143 Marengo Rd, La Crosse, VA 23950).
