She was predeceased by: her parents, Roland Paige and Willie Queen Puryear; and her siblings, Roland Norfleet Puryear of Baskerville, Betty Puryear Elam of Richmond and Samuel David Puryear.

She is survived by: her nieces, Natalie P. Coronas (Drew Coronas) and Cheri Warriner (Joseph Warriner, Jr.).
