She was predeceased by: her parents, Iva Saunders and Robert Saunders; her husband Thomas "Henry" Burton; her son Robert "Peanut" Burton; her brothers, Earl Saunders and Dewey Saunders; her daughter-in-law Gloria Baird; and her great grandchild Courtney Seward.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Burton of Dolphin, Jimmy Burton of La Crosse and Lois Powell (Tim) of Freeman; her daughter-in-law Patsy Burton of Brodnax; and her grandchildren, Robbie Burton, Kevin Burton (Chad), Crystal Burton (Ben), Kelly Burton (Ron), Jessica Lucy (Ricky), Tommy Lucy (MacKenzie) and Ryan Powell (Gene).
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory (1504 N Mecklenburg Ave, South Hill, VA 23970). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at the Crestview Memorial Park (18599 US-1, La Crosse, VA 23950).
