It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerline Gregory Clark Knox of South Hill, Virginia, who passed away on January 25, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Georgia Anna Tucker Gregory (Speede) and Nobie Lee Gregory; her former husband Johnny Robert Clark; her husband Utha Wilson Knox; her daughters, Anna Clark Hackley and Laura Clark Ferguson; and her grandsons, Shawn Payne, Michael Braxton, Eric Clark, Gregory Ferguson, Donald Payne and KaJuan Osborne.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Gregory-Williams (Jeff), Christine Clark Oliphant, Shirley Clark Osborne and Ernestine Clark-Smoot; her siblings, Christine Faulkner, Clara King and Harold Speede (Barbara); and her sister-in-law Elaine Speede. She is also survived by six grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Gethsemane Baptist Church (512 W Atlantic St, South Hill, VA 23970).
