He is survived by: his wife Maureen M. Brown; his sons, Rodney Brown (Kim) and Roger "Bug" Brown (late Laura Thomas); his granddaughter Shelby Brown Averette (Chase); his great grandchild Chloe Averette; and his sisters, Rita Glenn of Norlina, Kathleen Evans of Norlina, Arlene Kennedy of Norlina, Ruby Mae Powell of Brodnax and Lois Lafoon.
