She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Franklin Thompson and Mabel Evans Thompson; and her husband George Evans Mathews. She is survived by: her son Charles A. Mathews (Shani) of South Hill; and her grandson Logan Mathews of Blacksburg, VA..
