He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin P. Pernell, Jr. and Gloria P. Bridgforth. He is survived by: his wife Mary Featherstone Pernell; his sons, Ashby, William (Madison) and Bryant (Tyler); and his brother Courtney (Shannon). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends.

“Mary and Children, I grew up with Perry. Perry was good friends with Ron Kindley which made the connection. While we parted separate ways, I have fond memories. One was when he memorized Steve Martins album (~1982/3), Gloria ended up breaking the record. He was not only a wild and crazy guy, he cared about everyone. I will always smile when I hear of Perry. The Rectors hold everyone in our prayers and are confident, Perry has found his mansion in heaven. Frederick Rector”
