We are sad to announce that on October 21, 2023, at the age of 85, Edith Newman Tanner of South Hill, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Robert Orion Newman and Florence Robinson Newman; her husband Loyd Tanner, Jr.; her children, Sally Jean Thompson (Rusty) of La Crosse and Lewis Gregory Tanner of La Crosse; her grandchildren, Joseph Ryan Tanner of Charlottesville and Lauren Elizabeth Clark (Tony); her great grandchildren, Carlynn and Paisley Rae Clark of South Hill; and her sister Margaret Newman Hawkins (Billy) of Lawrenceville.
