He was predeceased by: his siblings, Ashby Rook, Pender Rook, Elax Rook, Mabel Reeves and Vatania Larrimore.
He is survived by: his children, Charlie Earl Rook, Jr. (Missy) of Emporia, Walter B. Rook (Kristi) of Bracey, Tony W. Rook of Emporia, Diana R. Davis of Goldsboro, Carol R. Thomas (Ricky) of Gumberry, N. C. and Elsie R. Tanner (Russell) of Nashville, N. C.; his sister Shirley Horne of Roanoke Rapids, N. C.; and his granddaughter Stephanie Rook Williams. He is also survived by Many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
