He was predeceased by: his wife Agnes Baisey Mayer; his parents, Carl and Josefa; and his siblings, Walter, Frankie, Conrad, John (Hansie), George, Howard and Irene.
He is survived by: his sister Dorothea Mayer Walker (Raymond) of Smith's Crossroads; his children, Mike Mayer (Patty) of South Hill, Patsy Mayer Allen (Rodney) of Nyon and Chuck Mayer (Shelley) of South Hill; his grandsons, Derek Mayer (Ashley) of Chester and Corey Allen of Geneva; and his stepgrandson Len Phillips of Manassas, VA.. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
