He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Nelson Murphy of South Boston, VA.; his sons, Duane Allen Murphy (Teresa Woosley) and Darrell Robert Elliott (Stephanie) of Alton, VA.; his grandchildren, Seth Nelson Elliott of Alton, VA and Cecilie E. Rudder (Matt) of Alton, VA; his stepgranddaughter Emily Goldsmith; his great grandchild Brentley Elliott of Alton, VA; his sister Laura M. Conner of Vernon Hill, VA.; his sister-in-law Carolyn N. Murphy of Virgilina, VA; and his caregivers, Bruce and Helen Barksdale of South Boston, VA. He is also survived by his family, friends.
