She was predeceased by: her parents, Hoyle J. Henson and Annie Mae Holmes Henson; and her brother Jack Henson. She is survived by: her husband Andrew; her children, Nikki Gesell (Nick) and Drew Bohanon (Sarah); her grandchildren, Lilly, Alaina, Luke, Max and Colin; and her nieces and nephews, Ace, Kimberly, Jeff, Rona and Rocky.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Main Street United Methodist (701 N Main St, South Boston, VA 24592).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to these foundations that were closest to Sylvia's heart. They include Saving Grace Animal Shelter in Wake Forest, NC or your local animal shelter, Glioblastoma Foundation, American Heart Association, and Jane Jones Food Pantry at Main Street United Methodist Church.
