She was predeceased by: her parents, John Thomas Martin and Minnie Mae Lacks Martin; her husband Gerald Edward Womack; and her siblings, Ernest Eugene Martin and Dicie Shores.
She is survived by: her family, Kevin Eugene Carper (Laura) of Elliston, Sylvia Kay Barbour of Nathalie, Pamela Michelle Carter of Pamplin, Tammy Lynn Carper of Roxboro and Krista Gayle Chandler (Jason) of LaVernia; and her sisters, Gladys Brumfield and Catherine Stewart of Scottsburg. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Powell Funeral Home (1603 Wilborn Ave, South Boston, VA 24592). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
