It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Myrtle Howerton Glass (South Boston, Virginia), born in Halifax, Virginia, who passed away on September 9, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Thomas Morris and Nannie Parker Morris; her former husband Raymond Howerton; her husband Woody Glass; her sons, Gene Howerton and Clyde Howerton; her grandson Bobby Howerton; and her siblings, Willie, Page, Lizzie, Nellie and Frances.
She is survived by: her children, Tommy Howerton (Mary Lynn), Margie Hudson (Doug) and Jerry Howerton (Cathie); her grandchildren, Denise Corter, Jamie Howerton, Beth Wilson of Jason Howerton, P. D, Hudson Jr. of Candi McBride, J. D and Brandi Sconzo; her brother Riley Morris; and her close friends, Tajanda Woodall, Sandra Waller, Sue Morgan and Donna Lawson. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren.
