She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert H. Throckmorton and Evelyn S. Throckmorton; her husband Edward H. Burton Sr.; her son Billy Burton; and her siblings, Alec, Joel, Ernest, Louis Throckmorton, Livian Layne and Linda Marshall.
She is survived by: her children, Edward Harding Burton, Jr. (Patsy) of Scottsburg and Pamela "Pam" Ratliff of South Boston; her grandchildren, Shane (Dianne), Brandy (Chris), Ben (Mandy), Amy (Bucky), Lizzy (Mike) and Chad; and her siblings, Alton Throckmorton and Agnes Hackney. She is also survived by Fifteen Great Grandchildren.
