He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Joseph Powell and Katie Mae Coates Powell. He is survived by: his wife Faye K. Powell; his children, Tracey Lynn Powell of South Boston and Richard Allen Powell (Lora) of South Boston; his grandchildren, Jennifer V. Nelson of South Boston and Aaron Fowlkes of South Boston; his great grandchildren, Skyler Nelson of South Boston and Elbert Nelson of South Boston; and his siblings, Lonnie Powell (Deborah) of Forest, VA and Diane Conner (Grey) of South Boston.
