She was predeceased by: her parents, Landrum Crawley Huskey and Elma Ledbetter Huskey; her husband Charles Talcot "Charlie" Nichols; and her sisters, Joan H. Daniel and Inez H. Thaxton.

She is survived by: her children, Donna Ford Ross (Wayne) of Roxboro, NC and David L. Ford (Vernelle) of Myrtle Beach, SC; her grandchildren, Laura Ross Ess (Tim) of Semora, NC and Riley Roark (Erin) of Charlotte, NC; and her great grandchildren, Olivia Ess, Elizabeth Ess, Evan Roark and Caroline Roark.
