She was predeceased by: her parents, Flournoy Belt Conner and Maddie Long Conner; and her siblings, Calvin Conner, Alton Conner and Margaret Perkins.

She is survived by: her husband Melvin Malcolm Cole; her sons, Ricky Cole (Kathy) of Halifax and Ronnie Cole (Amy) of South Boston; and her sister Lillie Conner Throckmorton of Halifax Host. She is also survived by extended family and friends.
