He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton Frank Howard and Mildred Mae Cowdry Howard; his wife Rachael Ann Bates Ayer; his sister Charlotte Barr; and his brother-in-law Al Ferrie.
He is survived by: his children, Randy (Tina), Rick (Catherine), Roxanne and Raemona (Joe); his grandchildren, Luke, Michelle, Chelsea, Mitch, Krista, Walter and Hailey; his great grandchildren, Clay, Lily and Addy; and his friends, Rick and Catherine Howard.
