He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Glenn "Buck" Comer and Hazel Elliott Comer; his son Scott Allen Comer; his grandson Sean Patrick Harlow; his brother Wallace Anderson Comer; his brother-in-law Roy Gerald Lowery; and his parents-in-law, James Clyde Meeler Sr. and Emma Frazier Meeler.
He is survived by: his wife Sarah Meeler Comer; his children, Davey Gene Comer (Jannay), Tammy Comer Moorefield (Ricky) and Andrew Keith Comer (Holly); his stepson Eddie B. Duffer (Marsha); his siblings, Brenda Macy (James), Joyce Lowery and Richard D. Comer (Kathy); and his pet Bandit. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 3 step- grandchildren.
