He was predeceased by: his parents, David Allen Comer and Audrey Vaughan Birchfield; his brother Scott Allen Comer; and his nephew Sean Harlow. He is survived by: his wife Jannay Matthews Comer; his daughters, Lauren Barksdale (Jonathan), Leslie Beggarly (Joseph) and Leah Comer (Cameron Gill); his grandchildren, Grace (Paul Walden), Molly, Madelyn, Levi, Emma Barksdale and Wesson Beggarly; his siblings, Keith Comer (Holly) and Tammy Moorefield (Ricky); and his stepmother Sarah Comer. He is also survived by cousins, friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brooks Lyon Funeral Home (115 Main St, South Boston, VA 24592). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Worship Center (1011 S of Dan School Rd, South Boston, VA 24592). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at the Virgilina Cemetery.
