He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Grant Dyer, II and Lucy Belle New Dyer; his son Ryan Michael Dyer; and his siblings, Reverend Gilbert Grant Dyer, III, Ralph Dyer and Rochelle Dyer Rudder.
He is survived by: his wife Pauline Hazelwood Dyer; his children, Tammy Dyer Smith of Alton, Kim Dyer of Scottsburg, Paul Dyer of South Boston, Tonya Nester Whitt of South Boston, Phillip Nester of Scottsburg and Jamie Nester; and his sister Joann Hudson (Ernie) of Newbern, NC. He is also survived by Eleven Grandchildren Four Great Grandchildren.
