She was predeceased by: her children, Rickie Gibbs and Rhonda Ralph; and her siblings, James Lee Jr., Earl Brown, Willie Brown, Dorothy Davis, Lauretta Batten, Roberta Kea, Ruth Brown and Rufus Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Shirlan Haskins (Sherman), Denise Brown, Tammy Wells (Everett), Gennie Brown (Tonia) and Mark Brown; and her siblings, Nancy Sykes, George Brown (Dorothy), Marion Smith, Edna Robinson and Wanda Parker (Steven). She is also survived by great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Solomon's Temple Church (15088 Mt Holly Creek Ln, Smithfield, VA 23430). A celebration of life was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Shivers Funeral Chapel (12749 Courthouse Hwy, Smithfield, VA 23430).
