Thomas Arthur Wunder Sr. Obituary

We are sad to announce that on November 18, 2024, Thomas Arthur Wunder Sr. of Smithfield, Virginia, born in Harlan, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his son Thomas A. Wunder Jr.; and his brothers, Louis Wunder and Jim Wunder. He is survived by: his wife Joyce L. Wunder; his children, Joseph C. Wunder (Kelly) and Angela M. Turner (Danny); his siblings, Mary Norton of Cedar Rapids, Bill Wunder Jr. of Iowa City and John Wunder (Judy) of Omaha, Nebraska; and his grandchildren, Grayson Turner, Blake Wunder and Lilly Wunder. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church (100 Harpersville Rd, Newport News, VA 23601). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church (100 Harpersville Rd, Newport News, VA 23601). A committal service will be held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery (5310 Milners Rd, Suffolk, VA 23434).
