He is survived by: his wife Judith Franks; and his children, Amy Hart (Brad), Thad Franks (Eliz), Nick Franks (Amanda), Tyler Franks and Taylor Franks (Madison). He is also survived by six grandchildren.

The family wishes in lieu of flowers, that contributions be made to SCAT, Inc, 12373 Dogwood Trail, Gloucester, VA 23061.
